So Glad To Be Back at the Barre!!

Today was my first class back since last Friday. Barrett's class today was AMAZING!! Her high energy kept me going the entire hour. I didn't come out of a single thigh exercise and I swear it was because of Barrett's encouraging words today. It was so amazing to get back, I can't wait to go  back tomorrow.

Since last week, I have lost 3 pounds and am down to 114.5, and I can fit into my size 2 jeans comfortably. I feel so good about myself and my body right now. I only have 1/2 inch left to lose on my waist and 5 pounds to go before my goals are met. I can't wait to see the changes my body will continue to make over the next 62 days!! I will be having to stay motivated and stick to my schedule. I must attend the 6am classes on Mon and Wed, which will be very hard...I'm not a morning person at ALL!!!

Once again a HUGE thanks to the instructors at Pure Barre!! Can't wait introduce the Pure Barre workout to ladies on my bacholorette party March 10!!

Inches loss :) and injury setback :(

Well good news first...I lost 1 and 1/2 inches off my waist!!!! It was the best feeling EVER!! My skinny jeans fit perfectly and I owe it all to Pure Barre ladies!! The tucking and squeezing paid off big time!!! I was getting better at my eating, but still have some difficultly so I joined Weight Watchers. I like it so far because really you can eat anything in moderation. Yesterday was pretty hard though, ended up having to eat asparagus for dinner since I used majority of the points in the morning and afternoon. I'm excited to see how adding Weight Watchers to my working out, changes my body.

For the setback, I have injured my tailbone somehow. I don't know how this happened, but it is one of the worst pains I've ever had!! I didn't fall or anything, the only thing I can think of is maybe I hurt it by wearing my high boots all day yesterday. I'm  so mad that I've missed PB now 2 days in row and hoping it will miraculously be healed over night so I can make it to Barrett's 6am class tomorrow and make it to work!'

Pure MESS UP!!

Well I'm the biggest dum, dum ever!! So I woke up early this morning to get a few things done before jumping into my car for Barrett's class. I was so,so,so excited to take Barrett's class because I haven't had her in forever!!! I was pumped for 8:50 to come around so I could tuck, tuck, tuck. Only problem was, was that the class was actually at 8:30...grrrrr!!! I am so mad at myself. I had a challenge to do 10 days in a row, and yesterday made 7 days so today would have been 8. I'm starting over again tomorrow for 10 days!

Positive note: I ended my week with an amazing Thursday double band class with Chasity and another outstanding double band class with Karen on Friday, plus I get to finish out my weekend on Sunday with Barrett. Wish I would have double checked the time this morning, but I guess "it is what it is"! Headed to Shelbyville in a few hours to have my measurements done (fingers crossed)!!

Pure Pick Me Up!!!

Well....I was supposed to post my weight yesterday, but I stepped on the scale and actually gained. I'm very embarrassed to even admit that. The whole day I was upset until I arrived at PB ready to burn off my aggression. Of course I vented to Barrett and Nicole but they assured me I was okay and had nothing to worry about. When I walked into Nicole's class last night, I worked as hard as I think I ever have at PB. I am so thankful for them picking me up and letting me know the scale isn't the only thing that matters. Barrett even took my waist measurement for me and assured me I was fine :) When I told the instructor today, Megan, she also brought up my spirits and let me know it was okay!! Thanks PB ladies for your kind words. Today was day 5 in a row so I have 5 days left before a break.

I also want to thank Stacy Vance for reading my blog. She made my day today when she told me she kept up with it!!!  Stacy also made me feel better about the number that stared at me yesterday when I stepped on the scale, thanks Stacy :)

The diet is going much better now, Jeremy has been very supportive and I know he will help me when I become tempted. I love him to death, but I find it very frustrating that he can sit and eat pizza and drink beer and keep his 6 pack, me on the other hand I gain 4 lbs, then again he is training for triathlons daily!!  I hit up Kroger today for great snacks: celery, carrots, apples, and clementines. I actually made a great strawberry protein shake from Rocco Dispirito's Now Eat This! Diet book. The shake was only 107 calories and was just  frozen strawberries, vanilla protein, sugar free strawberry drink mix,and 2 cups of water. Love, Love, Love that book!!!

71 Days

I had the best PB workout yesterday with Karen!! It was an intensive class, and man can I feel it today...I LOVE IT!! I can't wait until the next intensive class.

When I did the 12 day challenge around Christmas time at PB, I lost an entire dress size. So, now I'm doing my own challenge over the next 10 days and see where I get. I've decided that I will be posting photos of my before bathing suit body and after (which is very scary). I am still doing a great job of maintaining but not of losing like I want to. To help jump start my loss I am saying good bye to alcohol (except an occasional glass of red wine), diet cokes, and pizza (3 of my favorites)!!!

Pictures and new weight coming tomorrow!! Now time to get ready for Chasity's class.

Pure Relief

Finally I was able to get into PB today. I had to take off the past two days for meetings, but today was a PERFECT class to come back too! Chasity had my thighs shaking like I was taking class for the first time, and I loved it!! I did get on the scale yesterday and...big time downer I actually gained a pound...NO GOOD!! So it's time for me to really buckle down and watch my diet and make sure to give 110% at PB!! Hopefully this will be the only set back I'll have.

As for the diet, that is still my down fall!! Thanks though to Allison for the great baked apple chip idea, I'm going to make them tonight and hopefully tomorrow instead of grabbing for a hand full of chips I'll grab some apple chips!! I'm also upping my PB workout and going to the intensive class on Sunday so I'm  sure that will kick me right back on track!! I'll be posting my weight again on Tuesday :) (fingers crossed)

82 Days To Reach My Goals!!

After posting my measurements yesterday, I've come to my goals!! I would like to lose 8 pounds by the wedding and 2 inches from my waist. Can this be done? I HOPE SO!! I had another amazing class today at PB given by Megan, which I needed a hard class to ,at least somewhat, balance out the cheese sticks and pizza I ate last night with Jeremy (hey you have to cheat sometimes right?!).

The attending PB at least 5 times a week and using Jeremy's TRX thing and exercise ball is easy because I love it, however sticking to a hardcore diet is for sure my down fall!! If anyone has any great diet tips or foods that keep you full PLEASE let me know!! My handful of almonds before workout didn't cut it today!! But for now it's time to catch up and watch The Bachelor with Allison and a glass of red wine (only 1 glass!!).

Pure Honesty!!!

     Well today is the day where I tell the world my measurements and weight...YIKES!!! I can't wait to see how Pure Barre is going to help me drop inches and weight for the big dress, or should I say small dress :)
  • Weight: 116 pounds
  • Waist: 28 1/2 inches
  • Hips: 36 1/4 inches
  • Thighs: 18 1/2 inches
     Today was my first Pure Barre (PB) class after actually knowing my measurements, and I felt like really pushing myself!! Megan (the PB instructor) made it easy for me to motivate myself to push my hips lower than the bar and rise higher on my tippy toes during class through the thigh workout by her encouraging words and peppy attitude. Now, my next goal for PB is to really push myself during the seat portion of the class. The words "Squeeze and lift" and still in my mind right now, I can't wait till tomorrow night to "really get after it" as Megan would say!! Now onto planning my eating plan for this week...

Pure workout!!

     Well I have 84 days until the big day and big debut of me in my amazing wedding dress!! The thought of that is very scary; however it won't be scary for long with the help from the amazing instructors at Pure Barre Louisville. For those of you who don't know I found a new addiction...the Pure Barre workout. Pure Barre instructors have actually made me look forward to working out (never thought I would say that)!! For those people who haven't heard of this workout, you are majorly missing out!! In Pure Barre you use an actually ballet bar and your own body weight to lift, tone, and burn all the most important areas of your body!! Ladies the focus is perfect with emphasis on your thighs, seat, and abs (plus you get a killer arm workout in the warm up).
     Anyway, the purpose of me starting this blog is to track my wedding workout and progress I am making. I will be sharing how I am preparing and how Pure Barre is transforming my body for the big debut. I will be posting my weight (very scary to do on the internet for all to see!) and my measurements tomorrow. If I get brave enough I will post my before and after pictures for all to see. I'm hoping by starting this blog, it will keep me on track for my goals and allows me to share my experiences with my new favorite place...Pure Barre!!
